Claratus Commercial Finance has completed its first six months of trading! Although incorporated in November we officially launched in February 2015.
We set up with the aim of simplifying the world of business finance and based on the feedback from our customers believe we are achieving that aim. We have now assisted with over 30 transactions and arranged in excess of £2m of funding.
The types of transaction have varied but all have been completed within our specialism of the SME and Professions sector ranging from £100k for software, services and development; £350k for the fit out of a leasehold office in The North; £85k for the acquisition of a Ferrari 575M to the arrangement of working capital and tax funding facilities for both solicitors and accountants.

Ferrari Finance
There is a growing demand and appetite to both own and invest in classic and future classic vehicles. Claratus Commercial Finance has established a panel of funders to enable the finance of these acquisitions, whether for investment or personal use. Last month we arranged the finance for the purchase of two Ferraris, for two customers, from Rardley Motors, Hindhead.
Fit out Finance
As part of an expansion program for award winning, city based operator Business Environment, Claratus Commercial Finance arranged a syndicated facility to cover the cost of the fit-out, furniture and IT of 107 Cheapside, London. The project is now three weeks from completion and adds an additional 14,000 sq ft of office space to one of their premier buildings in London.
Finance Clinics
Claratus Commercial Finance held the inaugural Finance Clinic in May 2015. The event, which doubled as a networking opportunity for the business centre clients at Minories was well attend and received. A further clinic was held at Beech Street in June with two further clinics booked in September for Wembley and Reading.
Since the events Claratus Commercial Finance has helped a number of the business centre clients with their finance needs, assisting with invoice finance, acquisition finance, growth/expansion finance and asset finance.
The Future
Claratus Commercial Finance will continue with its aim of simplifying business finance. With increased availability of funding we firmly believe that an honest, fair and service led approach is what finance directors and business owners are demanding and deserve. We have a number of exciting opportunities to arrange and assist with for our existing and new customers.
We have already expanded the team, ahead of our projections, to maintain the levels of service we promise and are likely to recruit again in September.
